The George Creek Story | ”My family settled in the Knoxville area over 200 years ago. At that time, land owners passed their knowledge of building from generation to generation. Isaac Wright George, a master craftsman, built his house by his own design, next to a creek which came to be known as George Creek. That house still stands to this day, and is where my family calls home. George Creek Construction is founded on the knowledge of hard work, and an appreciation for details that are in keeping with my family’s traditions. Burch Hutchinson

Burch Hutchinson first found interest in the construction industry during his college studies. During a break from college, work took him into Clayton Homes where he began as an electrician. Burch quickly transitioned into purchasing where he found a new affinity for building materials and production method. The opportunity soon came to start out into a new small business venture. The business grew from one to many and broke into many facets emphasizing in historic renovation and restoration along with custom new construction and remodeling.

Travis Powell

Travis Powell has been working in the construction field since he was just a child, getting his start in the construction world at age 13. After years of being on construction sites, he built his first residential home at 19, and several more as a General Contractor. Starting to focus in on one trade, Travis has worked as a Siding Contractor in Knoxville for over 12 years. For Travis, being a part of George Creek Construction is the most exciting thing this industry has ever offered him.
